Fishing in Alaska spoiled me as a fisherman because when the salmon are running, there is no greater joy than to cast your line with the prospect of hooking an 8-15 lb. silver salmon. The other great experience was to actually see them spawning and watch their frantic movements in a shallow stream bed, churning up white water. This painting was done from the Copper River in interior Alaska.
