Local markets have always held a special interest for me, not that I like to shop as much as I like the diversity and local color that permeates the transformed parking lot. I first became influenced to pain these gatherings after becoming a fan of Sarah Clementson and her watercolor daily scenes from Seattle's Public Market. I hope that this fun painting will keep alive the summer memories of Saturday at the fair through the long winter on the Palouse.
